PILA Global Innovative Education

PILA Global is a US based education non-profit, which provides play and learning spaces for young children (primarily refugees) who would otherwise not have access to education. They do this through creating ‘Nests’ close by to refugee camps, a dedicated and secure physical space where they prepare the children for formal schooling through a structured education program encompassing both hard and soft skills. In the Nest, is usually where children will get their only meal for the day. The Nest comprises of 2-3 dedicated teachers who implement the teaching program, preparing the children for life with an aim to build up their confidence through learning and bring back some joy into their daily lives.
