7 Little Things Most Happy People Do by Francesca Corpuz

1. They express gratitude

Happy people always feel grateful for the things they have and the blessings they receive. They don’t focus on what they don’t or can’t have. Being able to realise you’ve got a whole bunch of blessings, including people who support you and love you, your talents that you can share to others, your good sense of humour, your wit, your grace—all of who you are. I think that’s enough reason to feel grateful.

2. They are optimistic.

Thinking negatively about people or things will only lead you to thinking this world is nothing but a dark place. Happy people always try to see the good in everything, and they always shed their light to others. They give kind words and encouragement, especially during trying times because the world needs more of it.

3. They say no to overthinking.

When you overthink, you create scenarios that don’t really exist in real life. Happy people are too busy spreading kindness, and they refuse to think bad things about others. They try to protect their peace as much as they can. They don’t get offended by everything people do because they are aware that the world doesn’t revolve around them and not everything is about them.

4. They say no to social comparison.

Most of us are so caught up into social standards and think we’ve got to keep up. Your Instagram is not your real life. Happy people do genuine things and aren’t afraid to show who they really are. They are confident in their own skin because they know what’s inside is more valuable than the outside.

5. They let go of hate.

It’s not easy, but it’s doable. And I promise, you’ll feel a thousand times better living your life without hate or anger. Stop holding on to grudges, you’re only making yourself suffer when all the people who have wronged you have already moved on with their lives.

6. They forgive and forget.

Everybody makes mistakes. Forgiveness is essential. Forget what they did, but always remember the lesson you’ve learned from it. That’s how you outgrow things and people. That’s how you level up. That’s how you carry on with a happy heart.

7. They say a little prayer each day.

Because what makes happy people happy is knowing that God’s got their backs. Realizing that there’s someone they can count on, good times or bad, is one of the things that makes them feel loved and protected.
