Toddler Play: Make Your Own Crayons
We love doing this little activity at home, because you can do it over and over again making different colours and shapes each time. And all it involves is a little chopping and melting.
You will need:
- any silicone mould or cupcake wrappers
The shapes of your crayons depend on the shape of your mould. I usually use silicone cookie moulds we have in the house, chopping my crayons and mixing the colours up to create multi-coloured crayons.
For the full tutorial here. There are lots of variations of this activity, the method is almost always the same however, the shape and colour of your crayons totally depends on which crayons you use (plain colours, glitter colours etc), and the shape of your mould (letters, stars, hearts, alphabets, the list is endless). Hence you can re-do this many times using different colours and moulds every time.
I particularly love these DIY Lego Crayons from Mummy Style.
